A goal of ours is to expose the kids to more experiences instead of gifts and to travel whether hundreds of miles away or just a few. Why not start with birthdays! We celebrated Carter's birthday just a short 70 miles away in Lake Geneva Wisconsin at Timberridge Lodge and Water Park at Grand Geneva and boy did we ALL have a great time!
Timberridge Lodge and Waterpark is an indoor waterpark resort built with families in mind. It is close to golf courses, horseback riding and shopping in downtown lake geneva. The waterpark called Moose Mountain Falls is equipped with
35-foot-high slides which takes you on an epic 300-foot adventure of twists and turns, which finally comes to an end in a heated pool*. For a tamer ride, The Lazy River drifts more than 500 calm, relaxing feet.
We arrived on Saturday afternoon and were greeted to our 2 bedroom 2 full bathroom suite with a wonderful welcome and Happy Birthday Sign for Carter plus with an awesome birthday setup up in the dining room of our suite with favors and balloons plus arcade cards for all the kids. Carter also received 2 special birthday gift certificates for a bag and birthday tube at the water park.
When you stay at Timber Ridge Lodge, receive four free water park passes with a one-bedroom suite, and six passes with a two-bedroom suite.
I for one was very excited about our suite! With four kids and with twin toddlers, whenever we go out of town or for an over night stay, I always look for accommadations with a home feel and this suite had just that. Equipped with a full kitchen, dining room, family room with a pull out couch, 2 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms with jacuzzi tubs our accommodations at Timberridge Lodge was exactly what was needed and more.
We did not spend long in the room and quickly prepared to go to the water park!
Jada did her own thing at Moose Mountain Falls which included the:
• Activity pool that has a rope climb, water basketball court and slides.
• Canyon river - A relaxing river that goes around the entire water park
• Timber Rapids - A huge green slide that sends you down currents on a single or double tune
• Avalanche Falls - A huge yellow slide equipped with tunes and colored lights. It is the second slide of its kind in the country!
Carter and the twins spent all of their time on Saturday at Tiny Timbers which is a super safe area that allows the little swimmers to swing, slide and play in water tubes while staying out of harms way.
Dad and I switched off while watching the kids and enjoyed all the park had to offer plus we got to spend some relaxing time in the hot tub.
After the park we headed to dinner at Smokey's Bar-B-Que. The perfect casual spot for the kiddies! The restaurant overlooked the waterpark and the kids really enjoyed that. We later decided to pack our food up and go to the room as the twins were getting sleepy. As we were walking out, the kids got to experience a snippet of story time which included milk and cookies with our wonderful party planner Billie Jean. Story time is every Saturday night at Timberridge Lodge.
That ended our Saturday night! We awakened and decided on a quick breakfast of Krispy Kreme donuts from the gift shop as we wanted as much time as we could at the waterpark before Carter's Birthday Party.
This time, Carter asked for a life jacket and spent majority of his time in the Activity pool with me! We also did a couple of rounds of the Canyon River. Jada made friends and did her own thing again and Jay and the twins spent time in the room enjoying the jacuzzi and playing!
After hours in the waterpark, we ended our stay at Carter's birthday celebration!
We were setup in a private party room with 2 awesome party hosts. We had pizza and soda, lemonade and water and the kids were able to play as they pleased. The room was equipped with a television and a play area in which all the boys loved and spent most of their time building with legos.
Even Bruce the Moose made a special appearance!
Jada spent most of her time in the arcade (and dad and I did too). Carter joined us later.
Our party package was the Super Party Package which included:
• Waterpark admission for 10 for up to two hours
• Non-swimmer admission for two chaperones for up to two hours
• One cheese pizza
• Two pitchers of soda
• One locker
• Special birthday tube for the birthday child to use for the day
• Private party room for one hour with standard birthday table decorations
